Destinations Covered
Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is one of Uganda’s leading wildlife destinations. The Victoria Nile flows through the park before squeezing through a narrow gorge and plunging into the river below. This creates the dramatic waterfall that gives the park its name.
During your visit, you can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across the savannah. In addition, a boat cruise toward the base of the falls provides opportunities to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and waterbirds.
Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest National Park is famous for its chimpanzee population and rich tropical forest. During a guided chimpanzee tracking excursion, visitors walk through the forest with trained guides to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat.
The forest also supports several monkey species and a wide variety of birds. Therefore, Kibale is an excellent destination for travelers interested in primates and nature.
Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park features open grasslands, crater lakes, wetlands, and woodland. Its varied habitats support elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, and many bird species. Lions and leopards may also be spotted, although sightings are never guaranteed.
One of the main attractions is the Kazinga Channel, where a boat cruise offers close views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and waterbirds along the banks.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is internationally known for mountain gorilla trekking. Accompanied by trained park guides, visitors hike through dense forest to observe a habituated gorilla family.
Gorilla trekking is a special wildlife experience and requires a valid permit. The hike can be physically demanding because of steep slopes, thick vegetation, and changing weather. Nevertheless, the opportunity to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a major highlight of a Uganda safari.
Lake Bunyonyi

Lake Bunyonyi is a scenic highland lake surrounded by green hills and small islands. Following the excitement of gorilla trekking, it provides a peaceful setting for relaxation.
Visitors can enjoy lake views, guided canoe excursions, birdwatching, and opportunities to learn about local communities. It is also an ideal place to enjoy Uganda’s countryside before returning to Entebbe or Kampala.
